Brief History of Michael Kacmar and family

Michael Kacmar was born in 1857 in Slovakia, and immigrated to the United States between 1888 and 1890.
According to the 1910 US Census, he lived in Streator, Illinois. By 1920, he had moved to Danville, Illinois.
He was a coal miner his entire life, retiring in 1934.
Michael died on March 25, 1937 in Danville, Illinois. He was buried on March 29, 1937 at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Danville, Illinois.
He married Anna Kaczmarek about 1893. She was born in 1865. She died on July 28, 1904 in Streator, Illinois.
He married Anna Ondecko in 1906. She was born in 1885 in Slovakia. She immigrated to the US in 1884 (at birth?)
Anna Ondecko is listed as the second wife of Michael Kacmar in the 1900 US Census.
Many Kacmar descendants continue to live in the Streator area, though the surname has evolved to the name Katchmar.
